Alyssa Parry R.A.D. R.T.S. will be teaching Ballet, August 12 to August 16, 2019 for “Weeks B and C” of the Caulfield School of Dance Ballet and Contemporary Dance Summer Intensives.
The 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, Intensive week is for two levels:
Grade III – V R.A.D. or equivalent/with instructor approval (Week B)
AND
Intermediate R.A.D. and above or equivalent/with instructor approval (Week C).

Ms. Alyssa Parry holds the distinguished R.A.D. Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and has provided guidance and leadership in the Royal Academy of Dance ballet program for various dance schools in the lower mainland and abroad. She has choreographed award-winning pieces, provided coaching for international competitions, and led preparations for all levels of R.A.D. examinations in the Academy.
Her formal training began with Deborah Cameron, Flora Pigeau, and at the Goh Ballet Academy, which included performing on tour throughout her home province of BC. Alyssa trained in many dance genres and has had many opportunities including performing in Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”, performing as the soloist dancer with the contemporary company Amaze of Grace, performing at Lalapalooza with Green Day, working as a scholarship trainee with The Edge performing arts studio in Los Angeles, as well as working as a dancer and singer for Carnival and Norwegian Cruise lines.
Ms. Parry continues to guest teach, adjudicate, and choreograph throughout BC. Several former students dance professionally including Sophia Lee (current principal dancer with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet) and others working for companies such as Disney and Carnival Cruise Lines.
Ms. Parry is excited to be a part of the teaching team at Caulfield School of Dance for the September 2019 to June 2020 year in the Half Day Training program and is thrilled to share her passion, inspiration and love for dance with the bright children of this School during 2019 Intensive Weeks as well.

Featuring Guest Faculty and Caulfield School of Dance teachers, the Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensive weeks are an invaluable experience. Even one full week produces amazing improvement. The Ballet and Contemporary Summer Intensive gives aspiring ballet and contemporary dancers daily classes in ballet, contemporary, and repertoire. There will also be classes in conditioning instructed by teachers in their fields of expertise such as Pilates, Progressing Ballet Technique, etc.
The 2019 Ballet and Contemporary Intensive Weeks are:
Weeks A and B; for Grade III – V RAD (or equivalent/with instructor approval) dancers:
Week A: Monday, July 15 to Friday, July 19, 2019 – 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Week B: Monday, August 12 to Friday August 16, 2019 – 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Weeks C and D; for Intermediate and Advanced (Intermediate Foundation RAD and above) or equivalent levels:
Week C: Monday, August 12 to Friday August 16, 2019 – 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Week D: Monday, August 19 to Friday August 23, 2019 – 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
The Multidiscipline Summer Intensive Weeks are for three levels:
Junior, Ages 7+ (Suggested 1 – 2 years experience):
Intermediate, Ages 9+ (Suggested 3+ years experience):
Advanced, Ages 12+ (Intermediate or higher R.A.D. Ballet level and/or Advanced Tap).
The Multidiscipline Summer Intensive Weeks are
Week 1: Monday, August 19 to Friday, August 23, 2019 – 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Week 2: Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30, 2019 – 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
