The Half Day Training option allows Caulfield School of Dance students with professional aspirations in dance who are in middle or high school, grades 8 and up, to train in Ballet and Contemporary Dance from 1:30pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Students must have an academic schooling schedule that allows for afternoons off all five days per week.
The Half Day Training option is only open to serious and dedicated students. Audition and/or interview and signed Agreements* with students and their guardians are required.
There is a fee ceiling for half day students of $7000.00 a year. Once this amount has been reached (includes all “regular group courses” tuition which are discounted to Division/Half Day Training Program students, and Half Day tuition, but does not include semi/private instruction, special exam prep oration classes, etc.), any courses of any genre incur no additional tuition fees.
Intensive ballet and/or contemporary training in the summer is required of Half Day program students. For in formation on Caulfield School of Dance Ballet and Contemporary Summer Intensive Weeks please see the information on this site.
* The Half Day Training option is part of the Professional Training Division and therefore parents and students will be required to sign a contract of commitment. The contract includes a requirement of 10 hours of parent volunteer time per student in the program to be competed by Ticket Sale day in May. Please see more information on the Division Member and Parent Obligations page.
