Andrea Isea began assistant teaching at Caulfield School of Dance in 2012 and has been a Teacher Trainee at Caulfield School of Dance since September of 2015. As both a student of dance and a student of dance pedagogy, Andrea has always distinguished herself with her dedication, perspicacity, and attention to detail. Andrea’s teaching draws on her love for the art and science of dance and her gift for working with children. She has a patient and clear instructing style that allows her students to understand her expectations while feeling supported to achieve them.
Andrea began dancing when she was 6 years old in Venezuela where she performed in the El Teatro Teresa Carreño production of “The Nutcracker”. After her family’s immigration to Canada in 2011, she immediately started training at Caulfield School of Dance. Andrea completed her Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate Vocational Examination and trained in Tap, Jazz/Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary/Modern. She was a member of the Professional Training Division for the last 3 years of her training at Caulfield School of Dance, and competed in all styles of dance in groups, and in Ballet as a soloist.
Andrea has performed in many productions and events including the Goh Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker” and recently under the direction of Mandy Tulloch in the Evergreen Cultural Centre’s “Canada 150: The Show” with performances in September and October, 2017.
Andrea is at Simon Fraser University pursuing a Dance Major, with dance, kinesiology, and stage production and management courses. It is gratifying to have Miss Andrea sharing the skills she has gained through her years of Teacher Training mentorship at Caulfield School of Dance, and continuing in her pursuit of a career in dance instruction.
